How to use a laser comb

Our Laser Combs are very effective when used properly.

They are manufactured from quality components and under normal usage, if looked after and used correctly, they should last a lifetime.

We recommend that:

  1. You use your laser comb for between 10 and 20 minutes at a time, 3 times per week. There are no negative effects from overuse.

  2. The laser comb is used on a clean scalp after washing, although this is not essential.

  3. The laser comb should be used on hair that is free from gels, cream, sprays or concealing products. Your hair can be wet or dry.

How to use your Laser Comb

  1. Use your laser comb 3 times per week on non-consecutive days for 10 to 20 minutes.

  2. Switch on your laser comb and place it flat on your scalp.

  3. Move the laser comb slowly, placing it on a spot and leaving it there for about 5 seconds before moving it about 1 cm onto the next spot.

  4. Move the laser comb in a direction that is against hair growth as this will help the laser light penetrate through to the scalp and hair follicles.

  5. It is best to start from the front of your hairline and work your way to the back of it. Make sure you cover all of it and don’t miss any areas. Once you have reached the bottom of your hairline, work your way back to the top of it. Therefore once you have finished you should have treated the whole area twice.

  6. If you have long hair you will find it easier and more effective to use a brush or your spare hand to lift your hair out of the way of your laser comb.

  7. It is very important not to move the laser comb too quickly. Slowly is much more effective.

Our laser combs use laser based technology to help promote hair growth. This technology is incorporated into a hand held device that is very low weight, easy to use and best of all can be used at home.

The laser combs have rows of teeth that are aligned with the laser beams. The teeth part your hair leaving a clear path for the laser light to penetrate through to your scalp.

Regular laser comb use is required, three times a week on non-consecutive days for 10 to 20 minutes at a time is all that is normally required to achieve noticeable results within a few weeks. Then over the following few months most users notice continued improvement as they continue use their laser comb.

Using your Laser Comb

  1. The laser comb should be used for between 10 to 20 minutes, 3 times per week and on alternate days. When used correctly the laser comb produces great results.

  2. The laser comb works best if your scalp is clean, so if possible wash your hair before use.

  3. The laser comb can be used on wet or dry hair.

  4. Use the laser comb before you add any hair lotions, styling gels or other hair products to your hair.

  5. With the laser comb held flat on your scalp, slowly move it around your head. The best way to do this is to hold it still for about 5 seconds before moving it along about 1cm. Then hold it still for another 5 seconds and then move it again. Move the laser comb from front to back, against the direction of growth, until you have passed the laser comb over all of your scalp. Then repeat the process, but this time start from the back and work your way to the front.

  6. If your hair is long use a brush, comb or your hand to lift your hair back to help leave the treatment area clear of obstructions. It is best to use a comb for this, and pass it through your hair a couple of centimetres in front of the laser comb.

  7. It is very important to move the laser comb slowly. This gives your scalp the opportunity to absorb the energy from the laser light.
